Dear Sponsor:

ONE HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND THANKS for sponsoring our First Annual Harrisburg Walk to D'Feet ALS, held June 10, 2001. What a day it was! And your sponsorship enabled us to make it happen.

Some of the highlights:

	Watching an empty Riverfront Park fill up with family and friends, laughing and reuniting.
	Hearing the bugle sound and watching PALS* Bruce W. Zimmerman, with the help of his children, cut the bright Red Ribbon to begin the Walk to D'Feet ALS!

Standing back and watching as over 700 men, women, children and their dogs, in brightly colored T-shirts, crossed the Walnut Street Bridge.

Hearing Nancy Venner announce that we had over 700 walkers and, together, we had raised over $118, 000 for ALS!

Most importantly, thanks to you, we are able to continue providing cutting-edge research as well as programs and services available no place else. From offering transportation to a doctor�s appointment�to our ALS clinics�to resource groups and more, all services are offered free of charge.

This year will be hard to top but, with you by our side, we can do it. It was a magical day indeed. We had a dream�a dream to create an event where families could come together, share their stories and honor or remember loved ones while, at the same time, raising funds and awareness. Dreams do come true! Now the only dream left to realize is to find the cure for ALS.
